What If You’re Not Stuck, You’re Just Scared?
A reminder that fear might be the only thing between you and the life you actually want.
You say you feel stuck.
You say you want to move abroad.
You say you’re tired of the grind, the chaos, the uncertainty.
But then you shrug and say,
“Maybe next year.”
“Once things settle down.”
“When the kids are older.”
“When work slows down.”
“When I figure everything out first.”
Let me be honest with you:
You’re not stuck. You’re scared.
And I get it.
Because this time last year, I was sitting on the floor in Doha, second-guessing the move we made. I missed my community. I missed the rhythm of the life I left behind. I was rebuilding everything from how I worked to how I parented. And I kept wondering… Did we do the right thing?
But here’s what I also knew:
We didn’t want to put off our future for another 20 years.
This wasn’t just about a change of scenery.
It was about creating a life where our girls could get a solid education, feel safe, and see the world while they were still young.
Our move to Doha was a decision rooted in future planning and financial freedom, not just for us, but for them.
Because why wait until retirement to finally live well?
That’s the thing about growth, it’s not comfortable.
It requires honesty. Action. Courage.
Not the kind you post about online.
The kind that says: I’m going to stop waiting for permission.
And what I’ve learned after living in 3 countries with 2 kids and 1 business that moves with me?
The moment you take one step forward everything shifts.
You stop fantasizing and start planning.
You stop scrolling and start searching.
You stop reacting and start designing.
So here’s what I want you to do today:
Ask yourself:
What if I’m not stuck, I’m just scared?
And what would be possible if I stopped waiting for the fear to disappear and started moving anyway?
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
But you do need to stop pretending that the life you want will somehow show up if you keep doing what you’ve always done.
This isn’t a guilt trip.
It’s a wake-up call.
And I’m here to walk with you as you figure out what’s next.
I want to hear from you:
What’s the fear that’s holding you back right now?

Let’s name it so we can move through it. Together.
