Your Expat Life is Evolving
I want to share something personal + important with you.
I started this Substack on November 7, 2024, right after the election.
Not because I had a polished framework.
Not because I had a master plan.
But because I felt something strongly.
I wanted people to see they had options.
A better lifestyle didn’t have to be confined to America.
That global life wasn’t a fantasy. It was possible. I was living it.
And I didn’t want it to just be my story.
So I started interviewing other expats.
Real families. Real businesses. Real decisions.
We hosted a summit.
I watched a dear friend make her move within 12 months.
I’ve received messages from readers quietly making intentional shifts of their own.
This Substack may not have been around for my full journey as an expat > from England to Copenhagen, back to England, and now the Middle East (Doha), but it has absolutely been shaped by it.
And over time, something became clear.
The real question isn’t:
“Where should I move?”
It is:
Should I?
And if I do, how do I do it responsibly?
That’s why Your Expat Life is evolving into the Global Life Project.
And why I’ve built the Global Citizens Framework.
This framework isn’t about inspiration.
It’s about structure.
It helps thoughtful business owners evaluate global life through three layers:
WHY NOW
What’s driving this curiosity > alignment, burnout, opportunity?
WHAT NEXT
What would actually need to change in your business and life?
HOW TO
How do you build the operational and financial stability to support that decision?
Because here’s what I’ve learned through multiple international moves:
You cannot relocate chaos.
You can only relocate stability.
Going forward, Global Life Project will bring more depth to that thinking.
As a member (free subscriber), you’ll receive:
Weekly essays on global decision-making
Founder interviews
Strategic reflections rooted in clarity, not fantasy
As a paid subscriber, you’ll also receive:
A monthly Operating Brief (deeper strategy and global readiness insight)
A live monthly Q&A
Occasional operating systems templates
This evolution isn’t a pivot away from what we’ve built.
It’s the next layer of it.
And if you’ve been here since January 2024 or even if you just joined recently, thank you!
This community has grown thoughtfully. And that matters to me.
More soon.
